   Day 1

   Arrival in Hanoi

   Fly into Hanoi, meet your guide and transfer to the city centre. Visit West Lake and the 1,500-year-old Tran Quoc Pagoda (Vietnam's oldest Buddhist temple), Hoan Kiem Lake with its Turtle Tower and Ngoc Son Temple, the neo-Gothic St. Joseph's Cathedral, and the bustling 36 Old Streets, followed by dinner.

   Day 2

   Hanoi – Halong Bay

   Explore Hanoi's historical landmarks — the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Presidential Palace, Ba Dinh Square and the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature — then drive through the scenic Red River Delta to Halong Bay, the 'Bay of Descending Dragons.'

   Day 3

   Halong Bay Cruise

   Enjoy a 4-hour cruise through Halong Bay with a fresh seafood lunch on board. Visit the spectacular Paradise Grotto (Thien Cung Cave), see the famous Kissing Chicken Rock, pass a floating Fishing Village, then experience the Royal Casino complex and a traditional Water Puppet Show.

   Day 4

   Halong Bay – Trang An – Hanoi

   Transfer to the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO site known as the 'Halong Bay on Land.' Take a sampan boat through caves such as Sang, Toi, Ba Giot and Nau Ruou, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Return to Hanoi and admire the neoclassical French Opera House.

   Departure
